We provide a full range of MRI studies, including brain, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), musculoskeletal (knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, wrist, elbow), abdomen & pelvis, prostate, breast, cardiac, MR angiography (MRA), whole-body screening, and paediatric MRI.
No. You can self-refer through our online form. If you already have a GP referral, you may upload it during booking, but it is not mandatory.
Many patients secure same-day, evening, or weekend slots. Off-peak MRI appointments can be scheduled within 7 days, standard within 3 days, and fast-track within 24 hours, depending on availability.
In most cases, no special preparation is needed—you may eat and drink normally. For certain studies (e.g., abdomen or cardiac), you may be asked to fast for several hours or pause specific medications. If contrast dye is planned, we’ll screen your kidney function ahead of time.
Contrast is used when extra soft-tissue or vessel detail is necessary—such as tumour characterization or vascular imaging. We check kidney function before administering any gadolinium-based agent.
Most modern implants (orthopaedic hardware, stents, pacemakers) are MRI-safe, but we require details of any metal in your body. Patients with certain incompatible devices or fragments may need alternative imaging.

The scanner makes rhythmic tapping sounds. We provide noise-reduction headphones and the option to listen to music. For patients with claustrophobia, we offer a wide-bore magnet and can arrange mild sedation if needed.

Yes. We use child-friendly protocols, shorter scan sequences, and optional anesthesia with our partner anesthetist for children under 16. Parents can remain in the room behind metal screening if needed.
Many insurers reimburse private MRI. We provide CPT/OPCS codes and receipts for you to submit to your provider. Always verify coverage with your insurer before booking.
There are no strict age limits. MRI is safe for children (often with sedation) and the elderly. We tailor sequences to minimize scan time and optimize comfort.
