You can book a self-pay MRI or ultrasound scan directly with MyScanHub without arranging a GP referral first. Every scan is subject to clinical suitability and safety checks. If you are using insurance, your insurer may require a referral and prior authorisation.
How much do private MRI and ultrasound scans cost?
Private MRI scans currently start from £295 and ultrasound scans from £89. Prices depend on the body area, scan and any clinically required add-ons. Your selected service and final price are shown before payment.
Where is the MyScanHub clinic?
Our clinic is at Guildhall Outer Car Park, Bluewater Shopping Centre, Dartford, DA9 9ST. We serve patients from across Kent and nearby areas, with free parking and same-floor access. The location pages explain how to reach this one Bluewater clinic; they are not additional clinic sites.
How soon can I have my scan?
Available appointments are shown in our booking journey. Same-day or next-day appointments may be available, depending on the scan, preparation requirements and clinical suitability. Please check availability for the service you need.
How will I receive my results?
Your report and available images are accessible through your secure MyScanHub account. Reporting times vary by scan or test and are explained for your selected service. MRI reporting is normally within three working days; blood-test and other reporting times may differ.
Can I use private health insurance?
We work with Bupa, Healix and WPA. Cover depends on your policy and the service. Contact us using the insurance enquiry form so our team can check your referral and authorisation requirements before arranging the scan.
What if I do not know which scan I need?
You can speak to the team or book a GP consultation to discuss appropriate next steps. GP consultations are charged separately unless included in your chosen package. You should not choose a scan as a substitute for urgent or emergency medical care.
