How long does a left brachial plexus MRI take?
A typical MRI scan of the left brachial plexus takes between 30 and 45 minutes to complete. Your appointment may be slightly longer to allow for preparation and any necessary checks.
Will I need contrast dye for my brachial plexus MRI?
Contrast dye is not always necessary. If your referring clinician or our radiologist deems it clinically required to better visualise certain structures or abnormalities, it can be administered intravenously. This is an optional add-on and requires clinical confirmation before booking.
Can I self-refer for a left brachial plexus MRI?
Yes, you can self-refer for a private MRI scan of your left brachial plexus at MyScanHub. A GP referral is not required, although we encourage you to discuss your symptoms with your doctor if you have concerns.
What happens after my scan?

Our imaging centre is at Bluewater Shopping Centre, Dartford, Kent (DA9 9ST), in the Guildhall Outer Car Park — free parking, a few minutes from junction 2 of the M25 and the A2. We're open Monday to Saturday 8am–9pm and Sunday 10am–5pm. Full directions are sent with your booking confirmation.
