What is the Standard Health Check + Hormones blood test?

Our private Standard Health Check + Hormones blood test offers a comprehensive look at your general health and hormonal balance. You can book this test directly online without needing a GP referral, making it easy to take proactive steps for your wellbeing.

This extensive screen measures key markers across 11 areas, including full blood count, kidney and liver function, heart health indicators, diabetes markers, and bone health. It also assesses thyroid and hormonal health, alongside a urinalysis and iron status check. Importantly, this test measures specific markers; it does not diagnose or detect any condition, and all results should be discussed with a clinician.

Your small venous blood sample will be taken at our clinic in Dartford, Kent. It's then sent to a UKAS-accredited laboratory for processing. Your results are reviewed by a clinician and will be available in your secure MyScanHub portal within 2–5 working days. You can book this private blood test without a GP referral.

Standard Health Check + Hormones — frequently asked questions

Do I need to fast before the Standard Health Check + Hormones?

Yes — we recommend fasting for 8–10 hours beforehand (water is fine), as recent food and drink can affect cholesterol and glucose readings.

How quickly will I get my results?

Most results are ready within 2–5 working days and are uploaded to your secure MyScanHub portal once reviewed by a clinician.

How is the blood sample taken?

A trained phlebotomist takes a small venous blood sample from your arm at our Kent clinic. It's quick and carried out in a private, comfortable setting.

What happens if a result is outside the normal range?

Any result outside the usual reference range is clearly highlighted in your report. A blood test doesn't diagnose on its own, so we recommend discussing flagged results with a clinician — you can add a GP consultation to talk them through.

Do I need a GP referral to book?

No. You can book this blood test directly online — no GP referral is required. It's a one-off payment with no subscription.
