Private Ultrasound Scans near Sittingbourne
Sittingbourne is further out than most of the towns we serve: about 27 miles from the station, usually around 40 minutes via the A249 and the M2. Patients from Milton Regis, Kemsley and the surrounding villages can book MRI, ultrasound and blood tests without a GP referral. Evening and weekend appointments, and free parking on arrival, make the drive easier to fit in.
For Sittingbourne families, pregnancy scans can be booked for an evening or weekend, and the images are explained to you during the appointment.

What to expect at your ultrasound scan
- 1Some scans need a full bladder or a few hours without food; the scan's own page and your confirmation email say which.
- 2Gel goes on the skin and a small handheld probe is moved over the area. There are no needles and no radiation.
- 3Most scans take 15–30 minutes, and you can drive and go back to work straight away.
- 4Your report follows within 72 hours (pregnancy scans are explained on the day). Male sonographers work at our clinic; a chaperone is available on request and will never be refused.
Questions
Private Ultrasound Scans: Sittingbourne FAQs
- How long does it take to get from Sittingbourne to the clinic?
- By car, about 27 miles and usually around 40 minutes via the A249, the M2 and the A2. By train, change at Gravesend (from the high-speed service) or at Rainham (for Thameslink) to reach Greenhithe for Bluewater; that part usually takes under an hour.
- Can I book a weekend appointment?
- Yes. We are open 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday, so you can avoid taking time off work for the drive from Sittingbourne.
- Do I need a GP referral for a private ultrasound scan near Sittingbourne?
- No. You can book directly online. Each scan is reported by a consultant radiologist or an HCPC-registered clinical specialist sonographer.
- When will I get my ultrasound report?
- Your written report is uploaded to your secure patient account within 72 hours. Pregnancy scans are explained during the appointment and the report follows after the scan.
- Do you offer pregnancy and baby scans?
- Yes: early pregnancy, gender and well-being, growth, presentation and 4D/5D scans. Private scans sit alongside your NHS antenatal care, not instead of it. Male sonographers work at our clinic; a chaperone is available on request and will never be refused.
