Can this scan detect any problems with the pregnancy?
This scan provides detailed images that a Consultant Radiologist will review. They will report on the appearance of the developing pregnancy and surrounding structures. Any findings of concern will be discussed with your clinician.
How long will my early pregnancy scan take?
Your appointment will typically last around 15-30 minutes, allowing ample time for the scan and for you to ask any questions.
When will I get my results?
Your images will be available to view and download from your secure online patient portal within 3 working days. A detailed report from our Consultant Radiologist will also be available at the same time. You can choose to share these with your GP.
How quickly can I get a scan?

Do I need a GP referral?
No — MyScanHub accepts self-referral for most scans. Our consultant radiologists review every case. Some scans (e.g. contrast studies) do need a referring clinician; we'll let you know at booking.

Written reports from a GMC-registered consultant radiologist are delivered within 3 working days of your scan, often sooner. You can access the report — and the imaging — through your patient account on portal.myscanhub.com.
